We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of business analysis principles, a passion for data, and a desire to learn and grow in a professional setting. As a Business Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, gain hands-on experience, and develop your skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and prioritize business requirements for EPOS products and features.
- Business Process Analysis: Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and automation.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to derive insights and make data-driven recommendations to support decision-making and product development.
- User Stories: Translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for development teams.
- Use Case Development: Develop use cases, business process models, and other artifacts to communicate requirements and solutions effectively to stakeholders.
- Product Backlog Management: Assist in maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring that requirements are properly groomed and ready for development.
- Quality Assurance Support: Collaborate with QA engineers to define test cases, validate requirements, and ensure that software solutions meet business objectives and quality standards.
- Documentation: Document business requirements, process flows, user guides, and other project documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and project continuity.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure alignment on business objectives, requirements, and project status.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives, best practices development, and lessons learned sessions to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of business analysis activities.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data and business processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders of diverse backgrounds and levels of expertise.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Familiarity with business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques is a plus, but not required.
- Previous experience with EPOS systems or retail technology is a plus, but not required.
- Passion for learning and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and self-improvement.
