We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Data Analyst Intern to join our team. As a Data Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, gain hands-on experience, and develop your skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Preparation: Collect, clean, and prepare data from various sources, including EPOS systems, databases, and external sources, for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Data Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in EPOS transaction data, customer behavior data, and other business data sets.
- Data Visualization: Create clear and informative data visualizations, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards, to communicate insights and findings to stakeholders.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to derive actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
- Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports summarizing key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and insights to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
- Predictive Modeling: Assist in the development and implementation of predictive models and machine learning algorithms to forecast sales, identify customer segments, and optimize business processes.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data through data validation, quality checks, and error detection.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, business analysts, and software developers to understand data requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Documentation: Document data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings to facilitate knowledge sharing and replication of analysis.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in data analysis and data science, and apply new knowledge to improve analysis capabilities and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib/seaborn.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Previous experience with data analysis projects or coursework is a plus, but not required.
- Passion for learning and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and self-improvement.
